Camp Maplehurst is a co-ed summer camp for children ages 7-17. Maplehurst is a residential camp located in northern Michigan. Founded in 1955, Camp Maplehurst continues to offer children unique opportunities to try new activities, meet new friends and gain valuable skills.
Maplehurst is located 25 miles north of Traverse City in northwest Michigan. Set on more than 400 acres of rolling hills and wooded land on one of the highest points in northern Michigan, Maplehurst overlooks countryside of breathtaking beauty. Seven lakes are visible from our main lodge, including our private spring-fed 80 acre lake, Lake Maplehurst. Maplehurst also borders Torch Lake, singled out as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world by a National Geographic survey. Both lakes are used for our waterfront activities. Our spacious grounds are comprised of open fields, wooded hiking areas, cherry orchards, ski hills and our horse corral.
