    Wheeler Summer Camp

    Program Fee $250

    In our traditional camp, we introduce a wide variety of activities, including nature, art, sports, performing arts, and swimming. Each week is themed, and culminates with a whole-camp closing activity such as the Carnival or Talent Show.

     

    Lower Camp

    Junebugs, Ages 4 and 5 enjoy a balance of high activity and quieter, restful moments.

     

    Junior Pioneers, Grade 1 enjoy a richly diverse choice of activities, but still have time to recharge and reflect.

     

    Pioneers, Grade 2 are the seniors of Lower Camp, and emerge as leaders at camp meetings and assemblies.

     

    Upper Camp

    Trailblazers, Grades 3 and 4 enthusiastically blaze the trail into Upper Camp.  Morning classes are designed to meet their enthusiasm.  Afternoons feature a huge variety of elective offerings.

     

    Adventurers, Grades 5 and 6 challenge themselves in classes designed especially for their skill level and a variety of electives every afternoon.

     

    Explorers, Grades 7 and 8 enjoy advanced Explorer-only electives offerings such as photography, GPS skills, BBQ, ropes course, and mosaics. 

     

    Leaders-In-Training (LIT), Grades 9 and 10 offers leadership and adventure activities including ropes course, sailing, and outdoor skills paired with working and playing with our youngest campers and learning child-care skills from experienced counselors. 

     

     

    Wheeler Summer Sports

    Program Fee $250

    Our coaches excel as athletes, teachers, and role models in their profession.

     

    Soccer, Grades 2 to 8 introduces offensive and defensive strategies, including ball handling, footwork, and team building skills.

     

    Tennis, Grades 5 to 8 covers hand-eye coordination, racquet skills, basic strokes, court positioning, and advanced skills. 

     

    Tennis Elective, Grades 2 to 4 teaches the fundamentals of the game in a four-day afternoon elective.  This elective would replace free-swim. 

     

    Track & Field, Grades 2 to 8

    Chris & John Gregorek, U.S. Olympians and Former All-Americans at Georgetown,

    offer individual and team competition for both casual and serious athletes.

     

    Golf, Grades 2 to 8 run by PGA professional Keith Allcock works with individuals on swing, putting, and short game techniques.  Program Fee $395

     

     

    Wheeler Summer Outdoor

    Program Fee $395

    Outdoor recreation can build confidence, promote teamwork, and hone problem-solving skills.

     

    Voyager Trips,   Junior Program grades 5 to 7; Teen Program grades 8 to 10 campers swim, paddle, surf, kayak, snorkel, windsurf and finish the week at Water Wizz in Wareham, MA.

     

    Horseback Riding, Grades 2 to 8 at The Palmer River Equestrian Center teaches English riding skills including grooming and tacking a horse, walking, trotting and cantering in an indoor ring and on trails. 

     

    Kayaking, Junior Program grades 5 to 7; Teen Program grades 8 to 10 mixes kayaking, shoreline exploration, and swimming as we paddle on different waterways each day, practicing turning, stopping, and wet exit techniques. 

     

    Rocks & Ropes, Grades 6 to 9 campers spend a week testing and expanding their limits using a series of twelve low and five high elements on our challenging ropes course and climbing the natural rock faces of The Farm. Program Fee $325
