    Lexington Prep is offering SAT, SSAT, and ESL/TOEFL camps in three sessions in the Summer of 2009.

    Session I: June 8 - July 3

    Session II:Juy 6 - July 31

    Session III: August 3 - August 28

     

    Our SAT Camp features 25 hours of intensive SAT Math and English study each week including for the English SAT – Writing and grammar skills, critical reading skills, and vocabulary and for the Math SAT – Intensive skill development, how to answer word and logic problems, and how to recognize SAT traps. It also includes:

    • Class sizes of no more than 10

    • One full SAT practice test each week

    • 10 hours of electives per week offered in the following areas: All SAT II Tests, All AP Exams, TOEFL, Web Development, Music, and Art

     

    Our ESL program focuses on improving literacy through an emphasis on reading comprehension skills and conversation with native speakers. We also use our language lab to help students to improve their spoken English and listening skills. Our ESL Program also features:

    • Class sizes of no more than 10

    • 30 hours of intensive English study each week

    • A strong focus on writing and critical reading

    • Activities with local native speaking students.

     

    Our SSAT Program provides intensive test preparation with a balance of the three test sections: verbal, reading comprehension, and math.  This program is designed for students entering 5th-10th grade and includes:

    • Class sizes of no more than 10

    • Intensive SSAT preparation for 25 hours each week

    • 10 hours of activities each week

    • A placement test to insure proper placement

    All programs will include:

    • One academic activity each week including a tour of a local university, a historic site visit, internship, or a guest speaker

    • One excursion each week to a Red Sox game, the Freedom Trail in Boston, or Six Flags Amusement Park.

    In addition, our accommodations offer:

    • Separate boys and girls dormitories are located in individual building wings and monitored by 24 hour security staff.

    • Double occupancy rooms equipped with a private bathroom

    • Full service kitchen that will provide three nutritious meals each day

    • Recreation room with ping-pong, karaoke, and foosball

    • Wi-Fi service throughout the building

    • Music hall, exercise room, and a library with an extensive collection of books
