Description:
The academy takes place on our 145 ft. ship off the coast of Southern California. We teach the young men CPR, First Aid, Open Water Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Seamanship, Navigation, Small Boat Handling, Shipboard Firefighting and the occasional Surf Session when the waves are good. Upon the completion of the 21 day academy, the graduates will come away with our Waterman Endorsement as well as certifications in First Aid, Basic Open Water Scuba, CPR and Shipboard Fire fighting as well as others.
Each 21 day session can accommodate 60 young men. All of our graduates come away from the academy with a new sense of self confidence, pride, respect and a tremendous amount of knowledge about the sea and themselves.
